19-3 Main coal bamboo
Coal bamboo (only soot) - a high-quality material used in tea rooms and temples.
"Bamboo" is considered a woody plant of the subfamily Bambusoideae in academic terms. However, bamboo does not have growth rings, and its growth patterns and leaf changes differ from those of trees. Furthermore, while trees typically propagate their offspring through seeds, bamboo grows into young shoots from underground rhizomes that spread in the soil. So, if one asks whether it is a grass, bamboo is woody and difficult to classify as grass, making it hard to distinguish.
